Have you ever balled with somalis at the court and realise that their formation is kinda messed. I will tell you why:

1. Big man acts likes a small man:
I have won in several games by being in the paint. Stick to your natural position at all times, I played normally as a forward center. A good recommendation to know if your a good center is of your giving trouble to players to post up on you.

2. SWITCH Properly!
How will you switch if your going to leave your player unmarked. Switch only if your exhausted, changing position to screen or having trouble guarding a player. I have seen many games fail due to stupid unnecessary switches. I have seen a kid trying to switch and left a player unmarked, they couldn't steal the ball and the unmarked player managed to end the game with a shot.

SO SWITCH when necessary.

3. Grab them Rebounds quick:
Trust me if you are on post you must grab those rebounds, defense or offense you gotta get that ball. A good time to go for the rebounds is jump slightly before the ball touches the backboard or the rim make sure your arms are up high. In somali basketball the tallest guy is never at the post line for some odd reason. So it is easier for someone who is slightly taller to get that rebound to either do a layup or secure the check.

4. If you can't shoot don't shot just pass it
(very self explanatory, either pass, lay it up or dunk if your able too.)

1. There are no bigs or smalls anymore, its 2020. It's the era of positionless basketball. Every player on the court should have the skills to play on the outside. Amateurs with very little post skills trying to be tim Duncan aint gonna cut it.

2. Switching everything is the way to go. Niggas just need to make sure to communicate out there or they'll get burned.

3. "A good time to go for the rebounds is jump slightly before the ball touches the backboard or the rim"

Nigga, you must have the craziest hang time in the history of the universe :omg:

I think you meant start fighting for position before it hits the rim

4. If you can't shoot, you're not playing on my squad. No ifs and buts about it. I was a shooter the second I picked up a ball, so no excuse!

1. That is ultimate facts, but big guys need to utilize their real skill and potential in the court. It is important to know how to play outside the field but maximizing points for big guys is in the paint. The taller you are means, longer limbs, easier to lay it up than shorter players and if you can dunk do it mf.

2. Switching is life, but my nigga unnecessary switches it fucks up the game. Communication and some intellect is key, you can shout out "Switch" but if your unaware of the real situation you'll be fucked.

3. Rebounds are self explanatory, be in the air before anyone else. That is what I mean't. The Ball is fast moving object when it goes out for the rebound, fight for the position but the final step for the d position in the key is jumping and getting the ball before your offense player.

4. Shooting the best way to win game, not everyone is shooter sxb. I can only shoot 3 sides of the court but in paint nahh.

Thank you for giving me more 2 extra inches, I am not the best shooter you can call me decent but I am pretty harsh on the court. Posting isn't hard because of my reach and force alx. Some people have different play styles, I am the forceful basic player.

Fat Somalians shoot all day and don't pass the ball ever
Wallahi amma tell you how one team used to be, I used to do 3v3 and the fattest kid used to be center of the other team. I realised that they always made him center because he used to sweat so much that no one wouldn't ever take the ball from him.

Mark smart passes, get a decent handle, and defend hard - even if you can't make a layup you'll still be an asset
