Big Y DNA test needed from certain clans

I think is the new Warsangali guy, who was happy to get the warsangali branch of E-y163949 Cuz rumours of them
being assimilated.

Ah yes. What was his username again?

I’m confused, I’m trying to mail the kit but for some reason I can’t register it on the website. Maybe is it coz I need to mail it first then when they receive it and upload it then I need to register the code to access my results?
@Bulletproof @BluSkee

create your account first then register your kit before you ship it.

Walaalayaal, could you do me a favor and check your results for these SNPs: BY8048, A21511, and Y546744?
Thanks.

Interesting thread made by reformed J because of this new sample.

He is from Eastern Egypt.
The situation could become more intriguing if the Egyptian and Saudi samples under E-Y55058 were converted to T2T.

What do you think would happen?

Here you go bro

Reason for asking:
BY8048: According to the Y Chromosome Consortium (YCC), BY8048 is/was one of the SNPs defining E-Y17859. However, neither YFull nor FTDNA seem to list that SNP as defining any branch.

Y546744: This SNP was removed from my list of private SNPs. I'm curious why it's no longer considered private.

A21511: I'm curious about this SNP because it is old (Haplogroup AOO-T according to YCC). However, I haven't been able to find it anywhere else.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

PS: I am positive for all three

This is an interesting sample. Initially, I thought it might branch off with the Palestinian sample, but it appears it will remain in the paragroup.
Currently, his BAM isn't T2T, perhaps this has something to do with YSEQ. I hope he upgrades because his sample could potentially establish a parent branch for one of the existing branches.

Damn it, should have been T2T. What’s wrong with Yseq 😡 Weird company. Let me try and email him after his sample is finished with the analysis. He probably won’t understand English and the meaning of T2T or even worse he might have his PM option blocked 🤣

The tree renewal is expected around the end of April or beginning of May.

@Malawax weren’t you going to upgrade the Madhibaan Gorgaarte to T2T?

I downloaded my 23andMe DNA relatives a while back, and after digging into the data, I'm ready to share some insights with you.

Here's an overview of the findings:
  • Total relatives: 857
    • Gender breakdown: 449 women, 408 men.
    • Relatives who opted not to share DNA information: 233.
    • Relatives with no Somali ancestry or unrecorded Somali data: 5.
Relatives with at least 1% Somali ancestry: 619 (302 women and 317 men).
Here's a breakdown by the percentage of Somali ancestry.
Relatives who are at least 1% Somali:

Relatives who are at least 25% Somali:

Relatives who are at least 50% Somali:

Relatives who are at least 75% Somali:

Relatives who are at least 90% Somali:

Furthermore, all my relatives who have at least 97.4% Somali ancestry belong to the E-V32 haplogroup:

This is now live on SomaliY feel free to go and conduct your own analysis. It is interactive, don’t be afraid to click/tap on the bar chart and table, you can also adjust the Somali Max/Min percentage using the slider.
For the best experience, I recommend using a desktop, laptop, or tablet.
